Hello. Here we are back on the blog. The time has arrived, as promised in my last entry, for National Novel Writing Month to begin. For the next month I'll be posting here each day's efforts towards the 50000 word target that is the final goal of this exercise. I don't know if I'll manage it - I've floundered enough in the past when I've attempted it. But I've a few more ideas this year, not to mention some character ideas and half a plot so we'll see what happens.
If it all goes to plan the novel should be 10 chapters long, so hopefully every 3 days I'll be able to come up with a new 5000 word chapter. I have a very rough idea of what each chapter is going to feature, so by way of a tease and as incentive to myself to actually write the bloomin things here is a table of contents:
My Idiot Sister is the Chosen One
by
Vin Marsden Hendrick
Chapter 1: Santa Lucia
Chapter 2: The Daytime Night
Chapter 3: Secret Identity
Chapter 4: Cat Tales
Chapter 5: Bottling It
Chapter 6: The GB Olympic Queueing Team
Chapter 7: May Day
Chapter 8: My Idiot Sister is the Chosen One?
Chapter 9: The Isle of Beep
Chapter 10: Endage
The whole thing is being written on the hoof with no editing so expect mistakes, bad grammar and idiosyncratic spelling thoughout. Plot and character inconsistancies are a given as I will be making it all up as I go along. It's going to be a lot to read so don't feel you have to come with us all the way but please feel free to comment as we go along. I'd love to know what people think.
A short prequel to the main story appeared in my blog last month - here's a link to it.
Right, off we go.
More soonliest
